This role will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and deploying responsive email communications that align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with HTML/CSS email development, a strong eye for design, and familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), AMPScript, and SQL. This is a hybrid role requiring both design sensibility and technical acumen. Assist with updating existing design projects across multiple client and event channels.
Manage assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and brand consistency across campaigns.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, creative, and CRM to execute high-impact campaigns.
Crop, optimize, and format images from Figma files for email use, ensuring minimal load time and optimal rendering across platforms.
Maintain consistency in design assets and uphold visual standards across client and event channels.
Conduct thorough QA across all email communications to ensure accuracy of links, content, versioning, and audience segmentation.
Troubleshoot rendering issues across major email clients and devices in Litmus
Build robust, mobile-friendly HTML/CSS emails with dynamic content using AMPScript and SQL.
Assist in implementing personalized and segmented email experiences using SFMC tools and data extensions.
Organize and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coding guidelines, and design systems.
Help identify and implement improvements to workflow and email production processes.

Education, Experience & Skills:
- Minimum education required/preferred, area of study:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
- Minimum years of relevant experience required:
- 3-5 years experience Email Development
- 3-5 years experience with HTML5
Additional skills/knowledge required include:
- Proven experience with email marketing tools, best practices, and platforms; hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in HTML/HTML5 and CSS, with a strong ability to author, troubleshoot, and debug responsive email templates.
- Familiarity with email testing and QA platforms, especially Litmus, to ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
- Solid understanding of email design principles, accessibility standards, and code best practices for optimal rendering and performance.
- Working knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) and how email integrates into broader digital ecosystems.
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Dreamweaver and Photoshop, with additional experience in Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere a plus.
- Experience with GIF and HTML5 animation in email design, with a clear grasp of what works across major email clients.
- Proficiency with Figma for reviewing and preparing design assets; experience with PageProof for approvals and Monday.com for project tracking is a plus.
- Familiarity with SQL and AMPScript is a strong advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication, team collaboration, and time management skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail or e-commerce environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Personal interest or experience in boating, fishing, or sailing is a plus and aligns well with our customer community.
