Chicago Booth's Marketing and Communications team is searching for an E-Mail-Marketing Specialist (Associate Director, E-Mail-Marketing) to be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive E-Mail marketing strategies that foster strong relationships with our audience and drive engagement, retention, and conversions. This person will work closely with cross-functional teams to create compelling E-Mail campaigns, monitor performance, and continuously optimize our communication efforts to build brand affinity.

Pay Range
$65,000 - $85,000

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Lead and execute an E-Mail strategy for Booth’s general business audience taking into consideration best practices, personalization, segmentation, and A/B testing.
  • Champion continuous advancement of email marketing automation features and evangelize the benefits to the marketing department and partners.
  • Plan, design, and deploy targeted email marketing campaigns that align with institutional goals and marketing objectives.
  • Segment and manage E-Mail lists, ensuring accurate targeting and personalized communication based on user demographics, preferences and behavior.
  • Ensure all E-Mail marketing comply with relevant regulations (e.g. GDPR, CASL, CAN-SPAM) and email best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of E-Mail campaigns using key metrics. Use data-driven insights to continuously improve and optimize E-Mail marketing strategies.
  • Design and implement nurture campaigns to effectively engage users and build brand affinity.
  • Create effective digital marketing engagement plans and assist with media buys.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A minimum of four years of digital marketing experience required, including at least two years in E-Mail marketing.
  • Marketo experience required and experience with Sitecore and Slate preferred.
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for E-Mail design.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new platforms and teach others
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision; possess a self-motivated disposition; identify opportunities for improvement and recommend effective changes, all while achieving key objectives resulting in desired outcomes required.
  • Excellent strategic planning, critical thinking, analytical, and persuasion skills required.
  • Ability to handle multiple detailed tasks/projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines with frequent interruptions required.
