The Retention Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and formulating the retention and loyalty strategy for the brand including executing the day-to-day email marketing activities, primarily email ideation and production, with key business goals of driving database retention and reactivation. This role entails building and executing daily emails/sms, generating email segments, customer targeting, tracking, and reporting on performance and helping to create engaging & branded revenue-generating email campaigns. The ideal candidate is creative with multi-tasking, technical and analytical skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Retention Strategy & Lifecycle Marketing
- Manage all lifecycle marketing programs, including welcome journeys, retention, replenishment, transactional emails, and loyalty programs to ensure a seamless customer journey.
- Develop and execute retention strategies that nurture customers from acquisition through long term subscriber retention to drive LTV & Improve retention rate.
- Identify opportunities to enhance retention and drive repeat purchase behavior to ultimately drive revenue
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that drive incremental revenue and increase customer LTV.
Email & SMS Campaign Execution
- Lead the planning, and execution of all email and SMS marketing campaigns (e-comm and occasionally assisting wholesale) ensuring best-in-class creative, segmentation, and personalization.
- Drive e-commerce growth and profitability by developing customer central and branded campaigns
- Continuously optimize email and SMS flows and develop and execute A/B testing strategies to refine messaging, timing, and creative performance.
- Implement new programs: loyalty, referral, shopping customization, etc.
- Assist in management of the growth and maintenance of the email database – including new sign-ups and opt-outs
- Create and develop an international email marketing strategy to reach our non-US growing customer base
- Benchmark campaigns industry-wide to help us ideate and execute new email marketing programs
- Brief copywriting and creative team for customer-facing and branded language to align with story
- Project manage email campaigns production with Design, Website and Ecommerce
- Maintain weekly calls with agencies and platform reps to align current status and updates
- Work in collaboration with the agency to build and deliver long-term email marketing strategies
Analytics & Performance Optimization
- Own retention channel performance, setting and tracking KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis
- Leverage analytics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns, customer segments, and lifecycle touchpoints, providing actionable insights.
- Create and present regular performance reports to leadership, making strategic recommendations based on key trends and findings as well as recommendations in an effort to help optimize
- Identify and implement new automation opportunities and platforms to improve efficiency and campaign effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION
BA / BSC required
EXPERIENCE
4-6 years’ experience required in Marketing/Digital Marketing/Ecommerce with a background in owning Retention & Loyalty (CRM)
Knowledge of retail/children fashion and a passion for understanding customer needs and behaviors

Skills
- experience in customer lifecycle management, with a strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and automation.
- Experience with email capture for growth
- A solid mix of analytical and creative skills, including the ability to copy write when needed
- Knowledge of Klaviyo, Optimizely, and attentive
- Technical email/s,s marketing techniques and understanding of inbox delivery techniques
- Proven implementation of retention best practices is a plus
- HTML programming experience a plus
- Should be a self-starter, able to multitask, work under pressure and prioritize
- A passion to understand the tactics and technologies behind online marketing
- Delivery / results focus, with strong attention to detail

- Performance and results driven
- Adobe Photoshop experience a plus
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, with limited supervision and under tight timeframes

Salary $100,000 -$110,000
