Overview
The Email Marketing Analyst is responsible for planning/execution, building, testing and deploying email, SMS and mobile app push campaigns. The analyst will build, QA and execute campaigns with our marketing systems. The Email Marketing Analyst is responsible for campaign performance tracking including regular reporting and incremental analysis. The Email Marketing Analyst will be expected to understand best practices to help impact program performance. The schedule for this role will, at times, need to shift to accommodate night and weekend work when business needs dictate.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Execute, build and deploy email campaigns
  • Build emails, SMS and mobile app push messages using campaign systems
  • Support development of campaign contact history
  • Monitor QA processes
  • Execute and deploy marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with Email Planner to schedule campaigns correctly
  • Email performance tracking
  • Develop weekly email reports on key email response metrics
  • Develop monthly and quarterly email updates
  • Responsible for revenue goals associated with campaigns
  • Maintain YOY email metrics
  • Analyze and make suggestions for improvement
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Expert on campaign systems and data sources
  • SME on email, SMS and push systems, data and metrics
  • Targeting and segmentation development
  • Email list and dynamic content management
  • Support integration work as needed
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with email policies and CRM best practice
  • CAN-SPAM compliance, CRM contact strategies and campaign processes
  • Perform ongoing competitive market and industry analysis
  • Guide testing opportunities and provide analysis/recommendations
  • Research and report on industry best practices

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field
  • 3-5 years of email marketing experience
  • Previous retail email marketing experience preferred
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems a plus
  • Experience and proven skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic HTML programming for coding emails
  • Basic knowledge of social media and mobile marketing
  • Aptitude to understand databases and related technologies
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional work ethic and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues inside and outside the organization
  • Self-motivated individual who is able to prioritize and multi-task, works well under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines
